The hill side location of Kauai Banyan Inn affords sweeping panoramic mountain and distant ocean views from most of our private suites.   Enjoy the cool clean air, lush landscapes and bird’s eye view from this private estate set on an acre of rural hill side in Lawai,  surrounded by miles of pasture land.  Lawai is located directly “upcountry” from sunny Poipu Beach on Kauai’s South Shore, where it’s just a short 5 minute drive to world famous white sand beaches, golf, shopping and dining.

Driving Directions:

Leaving the Lihue Airport, go to 2nd stoplight and turn left onto Highway 50 (you will see Kentucky Fried Chicken in front of you).  Follow the signs towards Poipu/Waimea on Highway 50.  In about 6 to 7 miles you will come to a Marker for Hwy 50 and Hwy 520, continue straight on Hwy 50 for another 3 miles where you will come to a traffic signal at Koloa Road (Hwy 530), just before a cement bridge.  Turn left onto and follow Koloa Road for approx. 1 & 2/10ths mile, a street sign to your left will read Mana Hema Pl. turn left a Mana Hema Pl.  A sign on the right reads DEAD END–proceed straight to the guard rail and the NO OUTLET sign and turn left (this puts you on the cement private driveway to Kauai Banyan).  Make a horseshoe turn to the right and follow the drive downhill, at the bottom, you will take a wide horseshoe turn to the left, then climbing up the hill, proceed over the rise–as you go down the hill you will see a white house marker 3528 B hanging fom a large terra cotta planter, you will pass a second planter there is another sign with arrow pointing right hanging from a palm tree–make a sharp right turn onto Kauai Banyan’s driveway.  After the third planter the drive is gravel.
